This morning, over the PA system:
"Good MORNING, folks! I'm Tim, your cruise director onboard the Grand Princess, and I'd like to start the morning by informing you about some of our ongoing events! But before we do that, first thing's first. We're going to have a scavenger hunt in the Atrium area!"
"Right now, there are 8 envelopes hidden in the Atrium, one of them contains a $100 bill! The scavenger hunt is taking place, right now in the Atrium, between decks five and seven, so get out there and search for your prize!"
Well, this is just great. I just started my first class of the day. Looking up at my students, all with slack jaws, I say in jest, "Okay, guys. Make your choice, it's either me or the hundred bucks."
My passengers all look at each other, and nobody gets up to leave. Completely dumbfounded, I say, "Wow! Such loyal students! You all get a gold star! Right after I get back from the scavenger hunt!"
I feign walking towards the door, but not before Tim comes back over the PA system.
"Ladies and Gentlemen! The scavenger hunt is complete! All eight envelopes were found, seven of them containing a slip of paper saying 'Sorry, try again!', and one grand prize envelope with my one-hundred dollar bill from my bar tab from last night at the crew bar! Please present the bill to be paid at the Purser's desk on deck six in the Atrium, and have a CRACKIN' day on the Grand Princess!
A $100 Bill
